Our Team

Co-Founder Sean Hughes loves everything about the event industry and especially enjoys sharing his experience with the rest of the team at aVenue.  He’s more of a behind the scenes guy, but he still loves the soiree.  You can usually catch Sean with his trusty sidekick and office mascot – Winston, his loveable Golden Retriever. 

Co-Founder Ashley Miller (aka Rose) serves as the Chief Venue Guru at AEG, managing relationships with our 35+ Venues across Orlando, Nashville, Tampa and Minneapolis-St Paul. Ashley has been in the event industry since moving from her hometown of Pottsville, Pennsylvania (the home of Yuengling!) to Orlando back in 2007.   Ashley thrives on creating unforgettable parties at the most exceptional venues. Ashley leads the AEG team with a positive, proactive approach and teaches by example that first impressions are, in fact, the most important characteristic of a sales professional. Understanding that every person is a potential client is what feeds her enthusiasm to apply that idea to unique venues!  ‘Rose Knows’ that the sign of a successful event is when you can’t wait for the next one! 

Charlton McBride graduated from The University of Florida. He has an expansive background in Hotels, Conventions, and Sales. Charlton is a key component toward the advancement of aVenue Event Group with his desire for exceptional service, ability to anticipate client needs, and years of  management experience. When he isn’t directing the sales department, Charlton is an avid movie buff and will welcome any and all movie or book recommendations- just don’t be surprised to get one in return.

Christa graduated from the Rosen School of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida with a  bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. The relationships that she has built through the hospitality industry will never be taken for granted and always appreciated. Christa takes pride in composing elaborate itineraries for upcoming trips traveling with friends and loved ones.

Sydney Anderson was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from University of Central Florida in 2022 with a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management and has experience in the food service industry. As a Venue Coordinator, she is hands-on in helping bring events to life. Sydney enjoys working with planners, vendors, and clients to ensure guests get to enjoy the event of a lifetime! In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her dog, Payton.

Cortney Ferretti graduated from North Central College in Naperville, IL with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She loves to travel the world, cultivate creative hobbies, and step out of her comfort zone. Her shared passion for inspiring others and providing unconventional experiences, prompted her to become marketing manager at aVenue Weddings. With an emphasis in digital advertising and graphic design projects, she enjoys taking abstract concepts and distilling them into user-friendly visuals. Always expect to find her in the digital world- guiding you through the realm of unique venues and igniting the vision for your next extraordinary event!

Kayla studied at Rosen College of Hospitality Management of the University of Central Florida obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management. As a wedding coordinator, she is passionate about bringing couples’ visions of their BIG DAY to life! When she’s not planning and coordinating weddings, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and listening to music. She is eager to continue coordinating weddings and making memories that will last forever!
